Biography

Steve was born in Croatia on the 13th March 1965, and raised in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. He's been known to say that acting wasn't actually his first choice of career. His ideal career was to become either a coach or a physical therapist and to that effect after graduating from high school he went on to university to earn a degree in kinesiology. In his mid-twenties Steve took a road trip with some friends to Vancouver and was inspired to take acting classes and relocate to Vancouver, thus beginning his acting career.

His first guest starring role was on the TV Series 21 Jump Street. Guest spots on TV shows such as Street Justice, Highlander, The X Files and Stargate SG-1 followed. In addition to his work on the small screen, Steve has also appeared in many films including The 6th Day, X2 and more recent big screen projects including the upcoming films; Afghan Knights and The Tooth Fairy.

Bacic is still best known for his work on the TV series Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda beginning in 2000 when he guest-starred as the character Gaheris Rhade in the pilot of the show, although the character was killed he was revisited on numerous occassions. In the show's second year the character Telemachus Rhade was introduced as a recurring character before becoming a main character in the shows fourth season.
