Jealous of Zoë’s relationship with Mal, Wash insists he accompany Mal on a mission to sell some of the stolen Alliance medicine. In the middle of the deal Mal and Wash are taken by Niska's men. Niska is looking for some revenge after the failed train heist and Mal and Wash are tortured aboard his space station. Zoë’s bargaining secures the release of Wash but fails to return Mal to Serenity. The crew spurred into action by Wash mount a rescue mission to save the Captain. Meanwhile Inara entertains a female client aboard Serenity much to everyone’s surprise. Simon tries a new treatment regime for River with some success, and Kaylee discovers that perhaps River isn't the harmless girl they'd thought.


The site is called No Power in the Verse. This is a quote from the episode "No power in the verse can stop me', said first by Kaylee and then mimicked later by River when she shoots some of Niska's men. Why use the quote for the name of the fanlisting? Well first of all it's one of my all time favourite quotes. Second, it fits the episode in more ways than one; withstanding that kind of torture, mounting that rescue mission, River's firearms demonstration - No power in the verse can stop them.
